Color porducts

Kids are naturally creative. As a parent, you probably want to help them nurture their creativity through educative play. Of the best way to do this is through coloring activities. These work well with both younger and older children. The crayon options in this Crayola vs RoseArt review should help you see which one will suit you best to enhance your child’s artistic skills. For me and my daughter Crayola worked out best, but who knows, by trial and error in your case you might have a different outcome.

My top picks

What are crayons and why you should consider them

Crayons can draw or color pictures. They contain wax, which helps you create more visually pronounced art. Crayons are the best option for younger kids, especially those who are still practicing to hold things in their hands. Crayons can’t easily get broken, unlike with color pencils, which have delicate tips. Crayons can withstand a lot of pressure, which is usually how most children start with their coloring exploration. This video shows coloring of a frog using crayons so you get an idea of what you can do if you become more skilled.

Main features – similarities and differences

Child’s age

A child’s age has a big influence when it comes to selecting toys. With crayons, you need larger pieces when shopping for younger children. The Crayola Ultimate, Crayola Twistables, and RoseArt 64 in this post are all medium-sized crayons that are easy for smaller toddlers to grasp.

Color range

Based on your child’s age, you may require an assortment of colors. Younger children won’t mind the color range. However, older children prefer more variety, as is the case with the Crayola Ultimate Crayon Collection. It comes with primary and secondary colors, same as with the Crayola Twistables and the RoseArt 64. However, it also comes with metallic and glitter crayons.

Materials used

Different manufacturers used different materials to create their crayons. You could even find eco-friendly options that use beeswax and food-grade pigments to create the crayons. In general, always look out for non-toxic options like the three in this review. Those are sure to be safe for your child to use.

Storage

The majority of crayons come in ordinary cardboard boxes. But based on the number of pieces you purchase, a storage container could be necessary. Otherwise boxes wear out quickly from frequent use. Some manufacturers provide you with packages that also serve as storage boxes, such as with the Crayola Ultimate.

Stain removal

When children get hold of colors, any surface could serve them as a canvas. That’s where the creation of washable crayons came to save parents. However, you should note that not all crayons are washable. For instance, none of the options in this review fall under the washable category but that doesn’t mean you can’t wash them off with a little effort. Use a little warm water and soap to do the trick, but it’s always best to keep an eye on your little one so they don’t color your walls.

Crayon size

Crayon companies have created options in a variety of shapes and sizes. Apart from being aesthetically pleasing, they also enable younger children to be a part of the fun. Slimmer crayons are harder to hold. So look out for larger, unconventional shapes for your younger children. They’ll enjoy them more. All options in this guide have a standard size.

Which one to choose?

For you to make the ideal selection, your child’s age is the most crucial factor to consider. If you’re dealing with older toddlers, then any package would be suitable since they know how to use them. But with younger toddlers, you need bigger crayon pieces. Apart from being easier to keep track of, they’re also easier for them to hold and use.

    1. Crayola; Crayola twist is better than the hold crayon for younger kids because u don’t have to sharpen them if they get low .When you use crayola twist you just twist it a little to make it come down as in if you was using lipstick.
Rose; Rose crayons are smooth colorings on any surface. Rose crayons are made for wax and if the wear down they have to be sharpen so they included a sharpener.Rose crayons are cheap and affordable.
My conclusion is to use crayola because they don’t wear down as fast as rose
