Do I Need a Baby Monitor for SNOO?
It sounds like the SNOO is the superhero of baby bassinets! The product is self-sufficient and doesn’t look like it needs extra gadgets to keep your baby calm. Why then should you pick a baby monitor if the SNOO seems like it can do an excellent job all on its own?
Granted, its soothing music and gentle rocking will calm your baby down. But it’s only effective at quietening down a mildly fussing baby. In other words, no amount of white noise or rocking will quieten a hungry, sick, or uncomfortable baby. If the wails persist, it means YOU might have to tend to your baby. And that’s exactly why you need a baby monitor. It’ll help you keep tabs on your child.
SNOO’s sleep tracking is quite limited in functions when it comes to older babies. Your baby could be quiet but awake and moving around the crib. But the SNOO doesn’t show this since it doesn’t have any movement detection sensors, only sound. It’ll still track the time your baby is moving around as sleep time.
And, it doesn’t monitor your baby’s breathing pattern, heart rate, and oxygen levels and room temperature like baby monitors do. And this is precisely why a baby monitor will never be indispensable.

Does Miku Work With SNOO?
Miku is extremely sensitive to movement so it sometimes picks up the movement of the SNOO rather than your baby’s breathing. The rocking motion results in false alarms. However, Miku’s Breathing Motion monitoring tracks the motion of the breathing pattern on your baby’s chest. If the bassinet itself is moving, the camera won’t be able to monitor your baby’s breathing motion. By the way, it’s one of my favorite baby monitors.

Does Nanit Work With SNOO?
The Nanit will work very well with SNOO because it’s also known for its accuracy. The SNOO’s rocking motion isn’t enough to trigger a false alarm from the baby monitor. It’s a runner-up device in my other review.
Does Cubo Ai Work With SNOO?
The Cubo Ai works well with SNOO because it’s not affected by the rocking movement. What’s even better is that the Cubo also doubles as a safety feature by notifying you if your baby’s face happens to be covered by the blanket. This is why it’s one of my top choices.
Does Owlet Work With SNOO?
There are mixed reviews with the Owlet’s compatibility with the SNOO. Some parents say the product works well and others say the Owlet is too sensitive to the SNOO’s movements and sets off false alarms. However, if you use the Owlet sock on your child it will work well in picking up your baby’s heart rate and blood oxygen level even if the SNOO is moving.
Does Snuza Work With SNOO?
